[origin: EP1634722A1] The item (10) has an image (16) that includes a greater resolution than that of a printed image (14). The image (16) is printed over the image (14) and is a transparent matt lacquer, where the matt lacquer is colorless. The printed image (16) has a complex printed pattern. The item has a surface area (12) on which the image (14) is printed. The image (16) is printed using the transparent matt lacquer. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a procedure for increasing a degree of proof against forgery of a surface of an item (B) a usage of an item for packaging a bond.
