Abstract (en)
A system for automatically switching webs in the manufacture of corrugated board. Corrugated board is manufactured with corrugators comprising several machines in line comprising among others the double gluing unit and the drying table, the operator manually carrying out between these two the cutting off and/or the splicing of the corrugated medium webs for the production of the corrugated board web. According to the system of the invention first and second automatic cutting off means and first and second splicing means are arranged between the double gluing unit and the drying machine in order to carry out the cutting off and the splicing of the inner and outer fluted walls, respectively, said system comprising control means for automatically carrying out said cutting off and splicing operations.
