Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1635431A2] The socket has two contacts that are conducted as short circuit or as a pair of contacts (3b). Two pins of a fluorescent lamp socket are combined together. Each pin is clasped by three contact springs of the contact. The springs are connected by two circular carriers with an over head component. The contact springs with its carriers are inserted in receptacle of the socket cover. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) an explosion proof luminaire (B) use of an explosion-proof two-pin lamp socket for compact lights.
