Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1635623A2] The device has a plasma burner (2) for heating a spray powder (3) in a heating zone (4) and a dosing unit (5) for feeding spray powder into an injector unit (6) with a transport gas (7) at defined pressure. Spray powder can be introduced into the heating zone by transport gas emanating from the powder injector. A pressure sensor (11) for detecting the pressure of the transport gas is provided for monitoring the state of the plasma spray device. An independent claim is also included for a method of monitoring an inventive device.
