[origin: WO2004111430A1] The invention relates to an injector (1) for an internal combustion engine, said injector comprising first and second injection holes (5, 6) in the injector body, which can be controlled by means of a first injector needle (8) and a second injector needle (15) coaxially guided therein. In order to enable a compact construction for said injector (1), a first control chamber (25) is provided, said chamber being radially delimited on the outside by a control chamber bushing (29) separating the first control chamber (25) from a high pressure chamber (32), being guided in a first drive piston (24) that is drivingly coupled to the first injector needle (8) and being prestressed in the direction of opening (19) of the first injector needle (8), wherein the high pressure chamber (32) communicates with a supply line (11) which delivers high-pressurized fuel to the injection holes (5, 6).
