Abstract (en)

An arrangement for integrating light-emitting diodes (LED's) in a surface to be marked comprises diode plates (2) (plus a connecting current supply cable (3)) inserted in a plastics profile (4), which (a) is transparent at least as far as the light exit surface, (b) has a reflective coating (5) on the underside opposite the light exit surface and (c) is embedded in a encapsulating, statically stable body (6), transparent at least as far as the light exit surface and having an external shape adapted to an indentation in the surface (1) to be marked.
