Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1637684A2] A public transport railway car, tram or light railway has powered sliding doors moving between an upper rail and a lower rail with a dimensional tolerance adjustment mechanism. The dimensional tolerance adjustment mechanism is non-powered. The door has a motor-powered spindle (3) driving an associated spindle nut (8) that engages with the door. The spindle also acts as a guide for the door and has a steel core (3a) with a plastic mantle (3b).
