Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1637690A2] The extrusion seal (1) has a hollow top cross section (2) with retaining rib (15) and profiled spine (4) with a cover web (25) to cover a retaining groove. The top has a sealing web (6) and support web (7) running at obtuse angle to each other. The sealing web is connected at one end with the spine by a connecting web (9) which becomes thicker from apex to the spine. The support web runs directly into the spine or into a cross web issuing therefrom. The opening point of the support web into the spine is at a distance above the cover web. The support web runs in to the sealing web forming an articulation point (14). the sealing web has a wear layer (13) on its outer side remote from the hollow cross section.
