[origin: EP1640557A1] An oil drilling rig is fitted with a swiveling magazine on which different types of bit, e.g. tricone bits or hammer bits (27), are stored. The bits are fitted with threaded adapters which allow them to be attached to the drill string and held by a clamp system (29, 30).
