[origin: WO2005002959A1] The invention relates to an inflatable life raft (10) comprising at least one inflatable tube extending in the form of a high-sided floating body (11) across the periphery of the life raft and a floor (18), enclosed by the floating body and held by the tube, for receiving at least one person that is accommodated in the life raft interior defined by the tube and the floor. The inventive life raft (10) is characterized in that it forms a symmetrical trapezoid structure together with its peripheral floating body (11) and that it is provided, on its short base line (15), with a low-sided access opening (19) in the form of an interruption of the high-sided floating body (11). The access opening (19) is supported by a supporting tube (17) that extends between the ends of the legs (13) of the high-sided floating body (11) along the shorter base line (15) of the trapezoid structure and that has a height that is less than the height of the high-sided floating body (11).
