Abstract (en)
The lamp has a discharge vessel in the form of a tube. Two electrodes are fitted to outside surface of the discharge vessel, where the electrodes are in the form of rods and the ends of the electrodes are in the form of a plug connection unit. A conductive metallic shield (3) partially surrounds the discharge vessel, and during process the shield leaves an angle of opening free for light radiation purpose. An independent claim is also included for a method for making contact with the discharge lamp.
