[origin: WO2005005073A1] The invention relates to a facility for producing plane stretched material, which comprises a cutting and stretching facility and a coiling facility. The starting material is a film web and the stretching facility is provided with pairs of synchronous belts or the like transport means that are guided via partially driven deflection rollers. Said transport means retains the film web at the edges thereof, makes the web advance and imparts the entire width of the stretched strip with an even structure. The inventive facility is characterized in that the stretching facility, at both sides of the film web, is provided with one pair of synchronous belts each. Said synchronous belts guide the film web with a lateral edge vertically upwards, starting from the horizontal plane, via hinged, optionally rigid sliding blocks that are mounted in the interior section of the pair of synchronous belts, while the other lateral edge of the film web is guided vertically downwards in the same manner, i.e. thereby making a scissor movement, and the film web is stretched across the diagonal thereby formed.
