[origin: FR2857389A1] The process involves collecting fresh water in a pipe (3) having a lower end extending inside another pipe (2). A discharge from a source is poured from an upper end (2 2) of the pipe (2) into a reservoir containing air, when the discharge exceeds a given discharge. The reservoir confines the air above a water-air interface situated inside the reservoir. The end (2 2) is situated above the level of the interface. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a fresh water collecting device (b) a process of placing a fresh water collecting device at bottom of sea.
