[origin: EP1645684A1] In a paper (2) manufacturing process a highly consistent fibrous suspension (QH) is fed (3) from a headbox (4) to a sieve (5) belt. Water is drained from the belt for recovery (QN) and pumped (11) to a return system (9) as a dilution agent for the incoming suspension (QH). The recovered water and fresh incoming water are combined via a feed system (13) to modify the paper specific area weight. Also claimed is a suitable assembly.
