Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1645711A1] The device has an enclosure (1) for receiving printed valuable documents (2) and associated to a reservoir (3) that stores a destruction product (4) comprising chlorosulfonic acid. A control unit (5) triggers functioning of a unit that liberates the destruction product from the reservoir. The enclosure is adapted, such that the documents are exposed to gaseous decomposition product of the destruction product.
