Abstract (en)

A waterproof fitting for a window, e.g. for a cellar window, has the fixed frame clamped into the aperture using a watertight insulating insert (6) comprising a suitable rubber strip and/or a sealing compound. The fitting is secured by inner (3) and outer (4) clamping strips. The window (1) is secured by the fixed frame and the fitting is designed to protect against flood water up to 1.5 metres depth.
