Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005007316A1] The invention relates to a method for producing radially inwardly protruding projections or sides (4) on the inner side (3') of tooth tips (3) which are embodied essentially axially in relation to the longitudinal axis on the envelope surface of an essentially cylindrical hollow body (1), in the region of the front edge of the hollow body (1). Such hollow bodies (1) can preferably be clutch lamellae carriers for using in automatic gearboxes. Advantageously, striking or stamping processes are radially carried out from the outside towards the hollow body axis on the outer side (3'') of the tooth tip (3) in the region of the front edge. The striking and stamping processes are respectively carried out only over part of the width (b) of a respective tooth tip (3). In this way, modifications by said striking and stamping processes to the outer shape of the tooth tips (3), especially the outer edges and flanks (7), are advantageously avoided.
