[origin: WO2005007726A1] The invention relates to a method for producing hyperbranched polymers, said method being characterised in that compounds of general formula (1), wherein the variables are defined as follows, are reacted in the presence of a catalyst, optionally with at least one compound of general formula (1a) wherein the variables are also defined as follows: x represents sulphur or oxygen; R<1> and R<3> are the same or different and are selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C12 cycloalkyl, C6-C14 aryl; R<2> and R<4> are the same or different and are selected from hydrogen, C1-C6 alkyl, C3-C12 cycloalkyl, C6-C14 aryl; Z<1> and Z<2> are the same or different and are selected from COOH and COOR<6>, the radicals R<6> being the same or different and selected from C1-C6 alkyl, formyl, CO-C1-C6 alkyl; R<5> is respectively the same or different and selected from C1-C6 alkyl and hydrogen; and n is a whole number between 2 and 10.
