[origin: WO2004100515A1] The invention is concerned with a method and system for directing calls performed in a telecommunication network, comprising at least one phone and a call processing unit with one or more messages recorded therein. The messages are connected to selectable functions according to which a communication in the network takes place. The method comprises the steps of making a call from the call processing unit to the receiver phone, selecting a function at the receiver phone and phone signaling said selected function from the receiver phone to the call processing unit, and continuing the communication in accordance with the selected function.
