Abstract (en)
To secure the reins to the bit, in a horse harness (1), a nominal breaking point (12) with a defined breaking strain is between the reins (4) and the mounting point and the mounting ring (8) at the bit (6). The breaking point is a replaceable connection (16) as a filament loop (22) between two couplings (18,20) as key rings (24) or snap links. The nominal breaking point is bridged by a flexible safety chain (14).
