[origin: EP1647956A2] The method involves mounting peripheral units and supplying them with energy, where the units repeatedly transmit a search telegram at predefined time intervals. A master station receives a search telegram from a searching peripheral units in a receive mode. The peripheral units transmit search telegrams until the master station is accessed directly or via other peripheral units as intermediate stations. An independent claim is also included for a radio-based emergency alarm system.
