Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005011858A1] The invention relates to a catalyst carrier body (1) comprising a surface (2) whereon a coating (3) which is connected to the surface is provided. The coating (3) comprises cracks (4) having a length (5) whereby the total crack length is at least 500 m/m<2> [meter per square meter]. The coating (3) has an adhesive pull strength of at least 500 N/m<2> [Newton per square meter]. Said type of catalyst carrier bodies can be used for the catalytic reaction of reaction partners, for example, in the partial oxidation of propene and acroleine in order to form acroleine and/or acrylic acid. The invention also relates to a method for the production of a coating for a catalyst carrier body, a method for the production of an organic molecule comprising at least one double compound and oxygen, a method for the production of a water-absorbing polymer, a method for the production of a water-absorbing hygiene article and chemical products or the use of (meth)acrylic acid in chemical products.
