Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005009751A2] The invention relates to a security element, preferably for value documents, comprising at least one region with a holographic element which reconstructs a holographic optical image under certain observation conditions. Said region comprises sub-regions which do not take part in the reconstruction of the holographic optical image and which represent recognisable information. The information represented by the sub-regions is essentially only recognisable under those observation conditions in which the holographic optical image can also be observed.
