Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005010584A1] Disclosed is a method for removably connecting two groups of individual, parallel fibers (12, 12') that end on a plane located perpendicular to the fiber axis and are respectively delimited by a face. According to said method, the faces of the fibers (12, 12') of the two groups are moved towards each other in an axial direction until the faces of all fibers (12, 12') that are assigned to each other hit each other. The fibers (12, 12') of the two groups, which are assigned to each other, are aligned relative to each other in pairs before hitting each other while differences in the lengths of the individual fibers (12, 12') are compensated after said fibers (12, 12') hit each other by elastically deforming the fibers (12, 12'). Such a method allows the disadvantages associated with bending the fibers to be eliminated due the fact that the lengths of the fibers (12, 12') are essentially compensated by compressing the fibers (12, 12') in an axial direction.
