Abstract (en)

[origin: FR2857207A1] The method involves sending a request for utilization of a subscriber identification module (SIM) buffer memory (22) in a SIM card (20) of a mobile terminal (30), by an access point (10) e.g. personal computer. A logical process (11) in the point is responded to by a logical process (21) in the card, via a message in the memory. The message is provided for managing application software (12) implemented by the point. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a SIM card accommodating a logical process and a memory (b) a local communicating device including a processor and data transmitting and receiving unit to communicate with a mobile terminal near the device.
