Abstract (en)
The method involves assigning a cut register function to a preset speed function. A set value of a cut register is changed continuously and synchronously based on the register function during a variation in an operating speed of a web-fed rotary press based on the speed function. The register function is chosen empirically such that it counteracts a change in an actual value of the cut position as a result of the change in the speed. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of setting a cut register in a web-fed rotary press.
