Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1650408A1] The turbine has a support strut (20) arranged in a steam pipeline or chamber to support components of the turbine. The strut is provided with a thermal insulation layer (24) in sections, where the layer is designed as a tubular thermal protection coat that encloses support units absorbing supporting forces or low pressure sealing steam pipeline units of the strut. The layer is cooled by a cooling medium through forced or free convection.
