Abstract (en)

The unit has a conducting core (11) with thin stranded wires made of conducting metallic material and a thermostable armature (10) at its center for increasing mechanical resistance of the unit, where each wire is possibly covered by an enameled covering. An external braided armature (12) is constituted by winding of steel or stainless alloy wires. An insulating sheath made of plastic material envelops the armature (12). Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) utilization of a flexible heating unit for heating seats of terrestrial or aerial vehicles (B) utilization of a heating unit for fabricating heating pipes (C) utilization of a heating unit for fabricating heated textiles (D) utilization of a heating unit for fabricating heated suits (E) utilization of a heating unit for fabricating heating molds in resin (F) utilization of a heating unit in a corrosive medium.
