[origin: DE102004037925A1] The separator has a drum with a single or double coned accelerating chamber in which is installed a disc pack with conical discs (1) lying one above the other and with holes (2) which in their combination form at least one passage (3). The diameter of the passage inside the disc pack above the lowermost disc in the direction of flow is not constant and/or the passage is inclined to the rotational axis of the drum. The holes of at least one distribution passage in the foot section are not aligned radially to the drum axis.
