Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005015592A2] The invention relates to an electric switch (1), especially a switch having a joystick-type or cursor-type design, comprising an actuating mechanism (2). Said actuating mechanism (2) interacts with rotary means (4) in such a manner that the actuating mechanism (2) can be rotated, and/or it interacts with displacement means (6) in such a manner that the actuating mechanism (2) is displaced in a displacement plane in at least one direction. When rotated and/or displaced, the actuating mechanism (2) acts upon a switching element (11, 12), thereby switching it. The actuating mechanism (2) can be functionally linked with a controlled electric external rotor motor (7). At least a portion of the rotary means (4) comprises the external rotor (9) of the external rotor motor (7) in such a manner that it provides a haptic element for the displacement movement of the actuating mechanism (2). The displacement and rotary movement can be transferred onto the displacement and rotary means (6, 4) by the actuating mechanism (2) by means of a cross slide (10)
