[origin: EP1652975A2] A spinning preparation machine (1), especially a drawing machine or a carder, in which the roller pairs (5, 6, 7) in the drawing unit (4) are in a housing (15) which is isolated from the machine drive unit and has at least one tempering source (20) for cooling and/or heating the inside of the housing (15). A spinning preparation machine (1), especially a drawing machine or a carder, with a drawing unit (4) comprising several roller pairs (5, 6, 7) with upper (5a, 6a, 7a) and lower rollers (5b, 6b, 7b) in which a fibre composite (FB) can be stretched, in which the roller pairs are in a housing (15) which is isolated from the machine drive unit and has at least one tempering source (20) for cooling and/or heating the inside of the housing (15). Independent claims are also included for (1) a housing (15) as above, designed to enclose the roller pairs (5, 6, 7) and isolate them from the external conditions around the machine (1) and from other components a compression bar (8) for a drawing unit (4) as above, with a hollow cavity which can be connected to a tempering source (20) and also has at least one outlet (29) for a cooling medium .
