[origin: WO2005016814A1] The invention relates to a dispensing system (18) for beverages, particularly beer, and to a method for cleaning the system. The dispensing system (18) contains a beverage tank (34), a tap (24), which is located above the beverage tank (34) while being situated at a distance therefrom, and a beverage line (28) whose first upper end is connected to the tap (24) and whose second lower end is connected to the beverage tank (34). The inventive system also comprises a cleaning system (50) for introducing a cleaning agent into the beverage line (28). The cleaning system (50) comprises, at the first end of the beverage line (28), an inlet (70) and, at the second end of the beverage line (28), an outlet (37 39) for the cleaning agent.
