Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2004111338A1] The invention relates to security elements and film-type materials made of a carrier substrate (1) whereon one or several functional security characteristics are disposed. The carrier substrate (1) comprises, on one and/or both sides, a conductive covering (2a) on the entire or part of the surface and/or a metal covering (3) which appears to be metallic or reflective and which comprise recesses (4) in the shape of patterns, signs, geometric shapes, lines, guilloches and other similar elements. The recesses are surrounded by the non-permeable metal layer, which appears to be metallic or reflective, the non-permeable metal covering which appears to be metallic or reflective does not contain any recurrent pattern in the area of observation, and the metal covering (3) which appears to be metallic or reflective can be arranged above and/or below the conductive coating (2a). The invention also relates to the use and production thereof.
