Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005005756A8] A padlock fitting (1) which is intended to be mounted on a door or the like and which includes a housing (10) intended to be mounted on the door. A thumb turn (20) includes a handle (22) and a shaft (21) which is mounted in the housing. A bolt (22) mechanically coupled to the thumb turn is movable between a door locking position and a door opening position. A filling element (30) is movable between a blocking position in which it blocks relative rotation between the housing and the thumb turn, and a release position in which it permits relative rotation between said housing and said thumb turn, wherein movement of the filling element to said release position is blocked by the padlock fitted to the padlock fitting. There is thus provided a padlock fitting that fulfils high requirements with regard to security while keeping the number of component parts to a minimum.
