[origin: WO2005111381A1] The invention relates to an aircraft engine, particularly a gas turbine engine, comprising at least one fan (11) and a central engine (12). The fan (11) is provided with a fan housing (13) that defines a fan duct and at least one fan wheel (15) while the central engine (12) is provided with at least one compressor (15, 16), at least one combustion chamber (17), and at least one turbine (18, 19). The inventive aircraft engine further comprises at least one generator (24) for producing electrical power, the or each generator (24) producing electrical power from shaft power tapped from the central engine (12). According to the invention, in order to produce electrical power, the or each generator (24) is integrated in a strut (21) which extends in a radial direction of the fan duct and is thus placed within the fan duct.
