[origin: WO2005015788A1] The invention relates to a device transmitting modulated optical signals between a first unit and a second unit, whereby the first unit is rotatably mounted relative to the second unit. The device comprises an optical waveguide along a predetermined path on the first unit, a first optical coupling for coupling light into and/or out from the optical waveguide and a second optical coupling for coupling light into and/or out from the optical waveguide. Said optical coupling is mounted on the second unit and is movable relative to the light-guiding means. The transmitter is provided with a coupling slide for receiving said optical coupling and has its own bearing and is movable along the predetermined path.
