Abstract (en)

Replica cutting or stabbing weapon, for use in role-playing games or the theater, has a core (2) made from spring steel. This is embedded in polyurethane foam which has a protective coating of polyurethane lacquer. An independent claim is included for a method for making the weapon, in which the core is placed in a mold for the blade, which is molded around it. The product is then transferred to another mold and the handle molded on, after which a lacquer coating is applied.
