[origin: EP1655148A1] The mechanism has coherently driven clamping devices (2) for reception of several loose book blocks, where the clamping device are arranged one behind the other in an orbit. A set of machining stations is arranged along the orbit and between feed stations for compiling printed products and a delivery station (4) is provided for binding printed products. The clamping device arranged in a horizontal level comprises two joining clamps.
