Abstract (en)
The tank has a ferrule (1) in which the edge of its opening, forming a manhole, is deformed to form a tapered collar (2) whose sides define a tubular connection zone (3) housing an annular flange (4). The manhole is closable by a lid. The annular flange is directly welded on the edge of the opening. The flange has an outer diameter of 560 millimeter which is equal to the inner diameter of the opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a metallic tank.
