Abstract (en)
The escalator or moving walkway has head elements connected to a framework. The head elements are arranged in a preassembled head section (3). The preassembled head section is attachable and completely mounted on the framework at the head portion of the escalator or moving walkway. The framework comprises of several stages or pallets, and is provided with a balustrade and a handrail. The head elements include comb plates (5), finger contact protection mechanism (11), balustrade clamps (12), hand rail guide rollers (13), baseplate attachment brackets (14,15) and handrail rollers.
