[origin: WO2005016806A1] According to the invention, the crop mark ( Y</I>18) for multi-web operation of a roller printing machine and the web tension in a web section may be independently regulated, whereby given image information, or measurement marks on printed webs (BO, BU, BE) and web tensions in differing web sections are recorded by means of sensors and supplied to a regulating device. The adjustment of the position of the printed image relative to the set position thereof with regard to the place and time for the cut, in other words, of the crop mark error (<I>Y 18) is achieved, whereby suitable image information or measurement marks are recorded before and/or on the common cutting cylinder ( K 8), by means of at least one sensor (SE; SO, SU), analysed and/or converted to an actual value which serves for the regulation of the crop marks of at least one web. For correction of the crop mark for at least one web, either the speed at at least one pinch point before the cutting cylinder ( K 8) and/or the position of the cutting cylinder ( K 8) is altered and, for correction of the web tension, the speed at at least one further pinch point is altered such that the set values for the part and/or total crop mark error for at least one web and, independent thereof, the at least one web tension are corrected to give the corresponding set value. The invention further relates to a device for carrying out said method for regulation of the web tensions and crop mark errors.
