Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005020260A1] The invention relates to an electric switch (1) particularly designed in the manner of a short-stroke key. The switch (1) comprises a housing consisting of a base (3) and of a cover (4), whereby the cover (4) is fastened to the base (3). A contact system (5) is located inside the housing and can be acted upon in a switching manner by means of an actuating element (6). The base (3) comprises, on the underside (8) facing away from the cover (4), a recess (10). The cover (4) overlaps the base (3) on the upper side (7) and on the lateral surface (9) at least in part, and a lug (11) on the cover (4) engages inside the recess (10) like a flanging in such a manner that the lug (11) is completely accommodated in the base (3), particularly at best, flush with the underside (8) of the base (3).
