Abstract (en)
The production of a tubular metallic component with a mantle comprises locating an inner pipe (7) in an outer pipe (11) to form an intermediate chamber. At least one pipe (1) is located in the intermediate chamber. The open surfaces of the intermediate chamber are closed using plate elements (9, 10), and the chamber is filled with metal powder. The capsule formed is hot isostatically pressed to convert the powder into a massive metal member.
