Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1657390A2] A demountable hinge for a door or window has two hinge sections; one (1) fitted onto the fixed frame and one fitted to the movable frame. The movable frame hinge has a hinge bar which is hooked onto a profiled grip (4) on the fixed frame. Two locking catches (5, 6) on the fixed grip are moved between locking and release positions to secure or release the movable frame. The locking catches are secured into the locking position by ratchet grips (17, 18) and their setting clearly indicates if the catches are locked or released.
