[origin: EP1657396A2] The unit has two glasses (200, 210) arranged at a distance to each other. The glasses are gas tightly connected in side regions by using a spacer-frame made up of profile rods. One of the rods is a solid profile rod, and a boundary gap is formed between the glasses in the regions. The gap has cross section in trapezoid form, and contour of the solid rod is arranged in the side regions and corresponds to the contour of the gap. An independent claim is also included for a facade with an insulating glass unit.
