Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005024193A1] The invention relates to a device for the thermal regulation of exhaust gas. The inventive regulation device consists of: a heat exchanger (5) comprising an inlet (4) and an outlet (18) for the gases travelling along an exhaust line; a bypass (2) through which the gases can pass; and distribution means (26) which are used to transmit the gases through the bypass (2), through the heat exchanger (5) or through both of said elements in a shared manner. The device further comprises a casing (3, 19, 24) which is used to house at least the distribution means (26) and the bypass (2), the inlet (4) and/or the outlet (18) of the heat exchanger being disposed on the surface of said casing. The invention can be used for the thermal regulation of motor vehicle exhaust gases.
