[origin: WO2005025824A1] The invention relates to a wood protection method, wherein wood is saturated with an impregnating agent in order to protect against humidity and/or rot. Said method enables wood to be protected in an economical manner and in a particularly good way, when the individual fibres and/or cells of the wood are covered by the impregnating agent with a protective covering in order to protect against humidity, and when the colouring and/or pigments used to cover the individual fibres and/or cells of the wood with a protective covering in order to protect against incident light radiation are mixed with the impregnating agent.
