[origin: DE10344254A1] Shaped article (A) comprises (by weight) 99-10 parts lignin-containing natural fibers (B) and 1-90 parts lignin-containing flour (C) which has been converted to paste using: (a) phenol-oxidizing enzymes (E); and (b) lignin that has been activated by treatment with (E). (A) has density 0.2-1.5. An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing (A).
