Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005031058A1] The invention relates to a washing machine (1) in which the supplementary ventilation line (10) is connected to an opening as high as possible on the washing tub (2) and running to a nozzle (12), arranged as high as possible on the detergent flushing device (6), by means of an additional ventilation system which provides a ventilation to prevent an accident with a stopped machine and a closed door (4). The detergent introduction line (8) runs from the detergent flushing device (6) to an inlet nozzle (7), placed as far as possible from the ventilation nozzle (9) in the upper region of the washing tub (2), such that no reservoirs of water can form in the line (8). Both lines (8, 10) are connected to the atmosphere by means of the flushing device. According to the invention, the ventilation system provides an adequate supply of fresh air. Noise on operation of the washing machine (1) is adequately damped and the foam and water vapour outlet can be as good as excluded.
