[origin: WO2005012644A1] The invention relates to a modular metal bridge, comprising a platform (B), supported by two longitudinal girders made from longitudinal elements (1a, 1b...), connected by transverse members (2) and upper joint elements (23). According to the invention, the upper joint elements are supported by the transverse members (2), connecting the elements (1a, 1b) of the two girders (1, 1') by means of spacer bodies (20) with a height adjusted such as to give a continuous deck (B) at the level of the upper faces (12) of the upper flanges of the longitudinal girders (1, 1'). Said deck can be covered by a concrete slab (5), fixed to the girders and, in a particularly advantageous manner, the girders (1, 1') are articulated and have a longitudinal upwardly-convex profile such as to bring the concrete slab (5) into compression by a slight downward flex of the two girders (1, 1').
